Muscari (grape hyacinth)

Muscari is in the Liliaceae family and is native to Southern Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia.

We sell a number of varieties of Muscari. Muscari aucheri is available in blue (Blue Magic), white (White Magic), and pale blue (Ocean Magic). Muscari latifolium is dark blue with a pale blue top.

Muscari grows to about 15-20 cm high and are available from January to the end of April.

Muscari lasts longest when you put it in a light, cool spot, and does best outdoors. It can survive a light frost without any problems. You can keep Muscari in its pot or you can plant several of them together in a large pot or in the garden. Muscari can be combined with nearly every other type of bulbous plants and with a great many non-bulbous plants. Muscari is perennial. For a creative twist, rinse the soil from the roots and incorporate the budding or flowering bulbs into a flower arrangement.
