Eranthis cilicica (winter aconite)

Eranthis is in the Ranunculaceae family. Eranthis cilicica is native to Turkey and gets its name from a region in Turkey, Cilicia.

Eranthis has yellow flowers.

The plants grow to about 10 cm tall and are available from mid-January to the end of March.

Eranthis lasts longest when you put it in a light, cool spot, and does best outdoors. It can survive a light frost without any problems. You can keep Eranthis in its pot or you can plant several of them together in a large pot or in the garden. It can be beautifully combined with other bulbous plants, such as Galanthus, Chionodoxa, or Fritillaria.

Eranthis is perennial.
